Our company delivers industry innovation through our newest platform, Skypace.com, which provides a full cycle of export/import transportation services in the ocean freight segment, powered by direct export/import ocean service contracts with top carriers and the global reach through our corporate branches and dedicated agents worldwide.
We are looking for a passionate and talented Human Resources Manager to join the team and drive continued growth and success. You will play a critical role in managing all aspects of human resources operations to support the company's mission, goals, and objectives while ensuring legal compliance.
Responsibilities

Employee development: managing HR services, including training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions

Record keeping and reporting: overseeing data entry, maintaining personnel files, and managing timely submissions for compliance and benefits

Onboarding: handling onboarding logistics, and ensuring compliance with hiring standards

Policy management: regularly updating the employee handbook and policies to keep pace with legal requirements

Audit participation: engaging in internal and external audits to ensure departmental compliance

Process improvement: identifying and implementing strategies to enhance employee retention and improve operational efficiency

Utilize computers and computer systems to set up functions, enter data, or process information, while ensuring that departmental policies and procedures are followed to the highest standard

Keep retention of personnel files according to the standard

Submit timely renewals on Workers' Compensation, Occupation Accident, Benefits and 401k

Process personnel timesheets for Payroll

Conduct internal and external audits and participating in audits of other departments within the company

Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the human resources services and programs offered to Maxton Shipping employees including medical benefits and 401K

Conduct surveys, assessments, training, and team-building events needed for the company

Conduct disciplinary actions, annual reviews, training, and compensation reviews of all personnel
Requirements

2-3 years of human resource generalist experience required

HR Bachelor’s degree or HR Generalist Certification preferred

Skilled in training, team building, facilitating problem-solving, and conducting internal investigations

Working cooperatively and productively with others and contributing to a positive organizational culture

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Strong internal and external Customer Service skills

Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance

Excellent interpersonal skills

Punctual with a strong attendance history
